After Mary Wash, I went to The George Washington University for my Master’s in Museum Education and moved to Arlington with fellow CCC alum Leslie McGlothlin. We have loved getting to explore the DC area and all of its museums and restaurants. I finished my program in July 2010 and have been on the job hunt for the last several months. It is a long and arduous process, but I have been able to practice the virtues of patience and gratitude for the time I have to try new things and volunteer with my new church’s 20s and 30s group.

I graduated from MWC in 2004. Since then a lot has happened! I got married to Kevin Johnson in 2005 and we still live in Fredericksburg. In August 2009 we had our first baby- Amelia- who is now an amazing 14 month old. Being a mom is the most rewarding experience I’ve had. We’re expecting our second baby around May 1!
Since I graduated I worked briefly at the Thurman Brisben Homeless Shelter and then began working for Social Security. I really enjoy my job and am lucky to work in the local office, so no commuting! Kevin works as a high school teacher in Spotsylvania county. About a year ago we joined Resurrection Lutheran Church and have enjoyed our new church.
For a few years after graduating I remained a Board Member for the CCC, but resigned when Amelia was born. It was nice being on the Board because I got to keep up with all the current CCC news.
